I was always the kid begging her friends and family to draw with her. I collected Pokemon cards just so I could draw the animals on the cards. Every project I did for school involved some sort of artistic element. When I went back to school to get my Masters in Graphic Design and Digital Media, it was the first time I felt that my schooling was truly aligning with my passion. I was excited to get the chance to work in a field I had legitimate interest in. My schooling allowed me to sharpen my digital illustration skills, develop new methods of designing patterns and products, and promote my art to wider communities more effectively. It also gained me access to a whole new way to tap into my artistic interest, paired with my undergraduate degree in Psychology, and use that to make my way in the Marketing world.
