I have over 5 years of experience in creating, designing and maintaining websites in WordPress.
As the Marketing Director at the Ruth Bancroft Garden and Nursery, part of my responsibility is updating and maintaining the website: ruthbancroftgarden.org. I create new pages, edit code as needed, build out event pages, and ensure all copy is up to date and accurate. I create content, source photos, and optimize for search engines.
On each page, I ensure that the relevant and important information is “above the fold.” This typically includes a call to action and or a link to further information.
I utilize the color palette and type choices dictated by the Brand Guidelines that I helped build out. The Ruth Bancroft Garden website has a lot to communicate. I do this via a combination of accessible text written in the tone of the “friendly expert” and images of the Garden, Nursery, and more.
